James Douglas "Jim" Morrison (December 8, 1943 — July 3, 1971 Melbourne, Florida, United States) was the lead singer and lyricist of American band The Doors. He also wrote poetry.Morrison was ranked number 47 on Rolling Stone's "100 Greatest Singers of All Time" and is widely regarded as one of the most iconic frontmen in rock music history.
