Ο πρώτος της δίσκος με τίτλο το ονοματεπώνυμό της κυκλοφόρησε το 1985 και έχει πουλήσει μέχρι σήμερα 25 εκατομμύρια αντίτυπα παγκοσμίως. Ο δίσκος της με τις μεγαλύτερες πωλήσεις είναι το soundtrack της ταινίας «The Bodyguard» που περιέχει το τραγούδι «I Will Always Love You» το οποίο έγινε το σήμα κατατεθέν της Χιούστον και παραμένει μέχρι σήμερα το single με τις μεγαλύτερες πωλήσεις στην ιστορία της μουσικής, με 170 εκατομμύρια αντίτυπα.
